I know the MLM topic has been done to death on here, so sorry for starting yet another thread. However, I think the reason it keeps coming up is because it is such a problem here. Also it is evil. There are lots of threads on here and youtube videos raising awareness of this, yet still they carry on peddling their shit. If anything its getting worse at the moment because people are facing job losses/reduced employment as a result of Covid and the fun recession we are heading towards.
I know pyramid schemes are illegal and MLM is legal becauses they technically sell products blah blah blah. But surely it should be possible to close that loophole? I actually looked online for petitions but I could only find one current one on change.org : www.change.org/p/uk-parliament-ban-all-mlm-companies-in-the-uk but it was started ages ago and has 9 signatures.
So if anyone knows of a more popular petition let me know and I will sign that. Alternatively, if other people would be interested maybe we can all sign the one thats there, or create a new petition.
