Zoom dance class

So I get this email from my DDs dance school basically saying we HAVE to download zoom due to Lockdown. I asked why because how can people be expected to have a sports hall type space in their homes for dancing but yes it’s for dancing.
We just don’t have that kind of space, it’s really small house. No grand hallways, no dining room, no other reception room or conservatory nothing like that. AIBU to wonder where the heck she’s supposed to dance?

Its perfectly do able for most. My DD does 2 hours on a Saturday and 1.5 hours Tuesday night by zoom . Teachers teach from the studio and adapt the classes ballet with pointe work tap ( board from b& q charity box) and modern. It's not easy but it keeps the school going and let's them practice for the Christmas video which is replacing the normal show 🙁. So hope the vacine comes quickly and life is a bit more normal with a a functioning dance school. Try it and see even if it's in the bathroom and put her tea in the oven so her brothers dont need to wait.

my annoyance was at the expectation from the school that we have the facilities (space, technology etc.) to do the lesson and that we HAD to do it. It wasn’t please let us know if you can attend, it was you must download zoom ASAP.

I would assume that was just the fact that some people's communication style is more abrupt than others.
I would have said "It will be great if as many of you as possible can join us on zoom during these strange times when we sadly can't meet in person. In order to join this Zoom class, you will need to download Zoom on to your device. But I know I can be over chatty' in my messages and communications. Some people assume that you will only need to follow the instructions if you are intending to join the Zoom class, and cut straight to the explanation of how to access the class. I'm pretty confident it was a person who leapt straight to the explanation stage without the chat, rather than someone turning into some sort of mini-dictator.

My space isn't that small, but whenever I tried zoom yoga/stretch etc, the cat always wanted to join in. Not helpful.
Worth giving it a try though - they must be aware that most attendees will be in relatively small spaces.
