It's something to do with having held the Political Editor role on the BBC.
Nick Robinson was great until......
Robert Preston - at least unassuming until.......
Laura K - was great when she first started, but then........

It seems to make them think that the news is all about them and their opinion and their predictions and their thoughts rather than them actually reporting - well 'News' - you know, what has actually happened.

I tend to watch New on iPlayer now so I can fast forward over Laura K, same as I used to have to fast forward over Robert Preston.

Sorry but I like him, he’s different and doesn’t apologise for it.
I like Nick Robinson and Laura K too FWIW.

I used to until I read on here that he used to have / has a profound stammer.
I then felt very bad and these days, cut him some slack.

PS. I don't know if the stammer thing is true, but I believed it.

I just started to watch Peston on ITV and he opened with ‘wotcha’ so YADNBU. I turned over.

I know it's an old thread but by God he is annoying hearing him today on the news and now on ITV1 why the fuck does he talk with this annoying intonation thing he does? very hard to follow him.
