Anyone got a greige (grey-beige) paint shade?

I'm looking for greige paint recommendations for a kitchen wall. Somebody did recommend F&B Purbeck Stone but I want something lighter (and preferably more wipeable than F&B). Any suggestions?

We have F&B skimming stone in hall/stairs and polished pebble in sitting room, SS is definitely a greige sort of colour

F&B skimming stone. It's the perfect colour.

Slaked lime is lovely. We have the intelligent emulsion in our kitchen and it wipes down very well.

Dulux Egyptian Cotton is a dupe for F&B Skimming Stone. They're almost identical.

I read today that Dulux's Colour of the Year for 2021 is Brave Ground. It looks like a greige to my untutored eye.

Dulux perfectly taupe

We’ve gone for Dulux Egyptian Cotton in our new house. It’s lovely and cosy! It does look really different in each room though.

Advice needed: I'd like paint bathroom and toilet white a very pale beige colour with Dulux Timeless satin paintwork - but every Dulux paint tester I buy is way too dark when i apply it. I don't want walls to look Magnolia so steering away from Calico - Egyptian Cotton looked great on tin but was so dark on walls when I tried a paint pot. Can anyone advise? Am I using the paint pots properly?

Marellaspirit · 07/11/2020 11:43

Dulux Egyptian cotton. We have it in most rooms, it's more grey in rooms with grey accessories and beige in rooms with brown.

I have Dulux Pebble Shore in my hall. It's quite pale, but I think greigey. I love Egyptian cotton too- have some to do the living room with!
