Even though deep down I feel I did the right thing I think I need to check what others would have done in my position.
New neighbours moved in last October, so just over a year ago. Married couple with 2 DDs,10 and 11yo. Have spoken with them on many occasions and they all appear very nice and always very polite and friendly. For the second time since they moved in I heard one of the DC being physically abused. First time it happened I wasn't so sure but tonight it was very obvious one of the parents was physically harming one of the DC and it made me sick to my stomach. It didn't last long but it was clear what was happening.. I have reported them to local SS and police (I live in Ireland). My reason was posting is hoping I have done the right thing and am not appearing to be a busy body. I've never been in a position like this before so I hope I have handled it correctly.
