I mean, Kimmy was just sickly sweet & immature. Michael would always have craved the sarcasm & wit of Jools. No way would that marriage have lasted

OMG yes!!!!!!! Totally totally agree with this! She was never the long haul wife, whereas jools was his soulmate. Even with the terrible singing!

Absolutely @familyof4boys ! Kimmy was like a puppy begging for attention and acceptance. Bloody loves Jools. Not remotely related to the fact that Julia Roberts is a major woman crush of mine .

One other thought though: Do we think that perhaps Michael was perhaps a controlling man & actually preferred Kimmy because he got to call the shots and she would do whatever he wanted? I can see the LTB thread now... "AIBU to think my DH should occasionally allow me to put my own career & dreams above his own?"
