What to wear for a lifeguard interview?

DS has an interview for his first part-time (casual) job next week, as a lifeguard at a local pool. Should he dress smart or in sportswear?

Speedo’s (joke) relatively smart not a full suit tho

So maybe chinos and a shirt, but no tie?

I would recommend smart but not a business suit. Chinos, shirt and jacket perhaps.
