To ask for children's vitamin D3+K2 recommendations

Hi,

Sorry, posting here for traffic.

Could anyone please recommend a children's vitamin D3+K2 (preferably not spray) as I don't seem to find any as opposed to the various ones available for adults.
Thanks

I give these to mine

How old for? A lot of places do chewy ones for Vitamin D with Calcium. Vitabiotics and Haliborange.

My kids have epigenar under the tongue drops (d3 and k2) - but I think they are not meant to be for under 11s (can't see that on the bottle - it was on the old bottle of the same stuff).

Thank you all for your response but I'm looking for vitamin D3+K2 and no other combination.

Lots and lots for adults:

@earlydoors42 thanks a lot for your suggestion. I have just looked it up but it seems for adults as no mention of age.

Just give a smaller dose from the adult bottle?

dementedpixie · 21/10/2020 14:25

What ages are your children?
There are maximum amounts of vitamin D3 for different age groups

dementedpixie · 21/10/2020 14:26

this says ok for children

dementedpixie · 21/10/2020 14:29

Nhs info about maximum vitamin d amounts:

If you choose to take vitamin D supplements, 10 micrograms a day will be enough for most people.

Do not take more than 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) of vitamin D a day as it could be harmful. This applies to adults, including pregnant and breastfeeding women and the elderly, and children aged 11 to 17 years.

Children aged 1 to 10 years should not have more than 50 micrograms (2,000 IU) a day. Infants under 12 months should not have more than 25 micrograms (1,000 IU) a day.

Your GP or pediatrician may be able to recommend or even prescribe something. You could also ask about just giving a half tablet of the adult version. Any chemist will have a pill splitter you can buy.

WooMaWang · 21/10/2020 14:43

You could just give them separately. I give DS3 (11 weeks) NeoKay drops (they gave us them in the hospital and the bottle seems never ending) and wellbaby D3 drops (as he’s breastfed).

WooMaWang · 21/10/2020 14:49

I think our drops are K1 actually.

You can buy infant K2+D3 drops though. E.g. www.livewisenaturals.com/products/baby-d3-vitamin-d3-for-infants-toddlers-and-children-vegan-friendly
