Not really abiu, unless its abiu to be annoyed. I'm degree+ educated, so not totally stupid, plus have worked in switchboard, customer service, call centres in the past, so know a bit about that side of things.
A while ago I ordered a large appliance online and had it delivered. As it was being installed I noticed it was dented. The delivery man said he had to leave it and someone would be in touch to agree either a replacement or a partial refund. I told him price reduction was what I wanted, he said he would let them know and took a photo. Told they would be in touch within the week.
That's the last I heard. Tried to email customer services and got a bounce back email stating the email no longer operational and see the website for alternative customer service queries.
Just tried to call. Long lead in of waffle before options. Then lots of options. None relevant, so picked closest, which led on to lots of waffle, then options none of which were suitable, so picked nearest one. Yet more waffle, then it was obvious none of the options matched. Told queue was long. So hung up and tried different route through the options, still not the department I needed and the line went dead. Tried a third time, another two minutes plus of listening to waffle about out of stock products, ending nowhere and a dead line. Fourth try I didn't pick any options hoping it would go through to any live person! No luck.
Fifth attempt and I think the various options got me closer to the right department. Held with their background music, and held and held .... I didn't want to hang up as I couldn't remember the route through multiple options that I'd made!
Looked again on website. The contact us page states Webchat with a colleague look for the Need Help button on thus page. If its on there its very well hidden.
There's a shoplive option but its only for actually shopping. I got through but they refused to deal with it. But there is "Got a customer service query?" But that just led me on a loop around their website!
So I continued to hold...after half an hour I spoke to someone who seemed not to understand the situation. They confirmed all my details, asked me to hold, came back on the line, then the line went dead. I waited half an hour as I had given my phone numbers hoping someone would actually show some common sense and realised they'd dropped the call and call me
I'm so cross! I'm now sitting on the phone again, but I can't spend another 45mins working my way through the system and sitting in the call queue! I have lots else I need to do total and I need to get it dealt with at the weekend as I don't have easy access to make calls at work and certainly not sit in queues.
