To miss someone that supported me years ago

I had mental health in my late teens and was supported by a member of staff at college during this time. I’m now in my mid 20.s and still think about this person. I know it probably sounds odd but they helped me through a difficult time.

Are they still working at the college? If so, perhaps you could send them a card saying how much you appreciated their support?

I second contacting them, if possible, and thanking them for their support in the past.
They may well be wondering what happened to you.

Thank you for replying unfortunately he doesn’t work there anymore as far as I can see.

How is your mental health now? It is perfectly normal to think back from time to time, I sometimes wonder how the student doctor is that helped at my sons terrible birth.

I wouldn't get in touch though, the relationship was doctor/patient and they did what they were there to do. They were much more significant to me than I was to them and I would hate it if they didn't remember me...

Better to look forward than back. Or better still, be in the present.
