Let s drown Peppa Pig

Because of this advert, and the one that starts with a shrieking kid, I instantly mute my tablet when any ads start. The squeaky pitch of the pig thing, and the shrieking human, are unbearable, whoever signed off on those appalling noises as a good idea to haul money in was clearly too stupid to function. So glad to not have bred, and don’t have to listen to that crap each day.

schubertdibdab · 30/09/2020 00:16

Haven't seen the advert but the only time I ever want to see Peppa again is when the entire pig family has been cooked low and slow and is drowned in bbq sauce.

Toddlerteaplease · 30/09/2020 18:06

@schubertdibdab you made me laugh out loud. But you aren't wrong!

I have been watching a lot of old episodes of The Bill on UKTV Play and this ad is on in every ad break and before an episode starts. It drives me mad and somehow I can't imagine that people watching The Bill from the early 90s are the target demographic!

Toddlerteaplease · 30/09/2020 20:49

I first saw it watching Appropriate Adult on ITV player. Definitely not the right audience for peppa!

It makes me want to get my hands dirty and stick two fingers up at that! It’s bloody unbearable

Mochachoco · 30/09/2020 21:07

Not nearly as bad as the guy in his bedroom being annoyed by his brother sneaking in. I want to buy him a fucking house to stop hearing about it.

HubbabubbaT · 30/09/2020 21:15

It winds me up something chronic as my 2 yr old can pick up Peppa in her sleep just about.. and if I'm watching something and this comes on... Along she trots asking why I'm watching Peppa and can she watch Peppa? Angry

HubbabubbaT · 30/09/2020 21:16

I am definitely in agreement that Peppa needs to be turned into a nice side of gammon. DH suggested next episode should be called Peppa and George visit an abbatoir

Liverpool52 · 30/09/2020 21:23

It always comes on when I'm watching ER on All4 - which has a "not suitable for younger viewers" warning. So why show the advert designed for four year olds?!

Shoppingwithmother · 30/09/2020 21:30

Also, I thought you were supposed to wash your hands for 20 seconds, so why are they telling children of all people to do it for a far less achievable 40 seconds?

I swear one time it said 50 seconds as well but my DD said I imagined it!

ForTheLoveOfCatFood · 30/09/2020 21:33

Can’t watch anything on all4 because it just seems to come on every 5 seconds
It makes me ragey Angry

Rosehip10 · 30/09/2020 21:34

was watching lovejoy on UKTV online and EVERY ad break has this shit.

LibrariesGiveUsPower · 30/09/2020 21:39

YANBU. It makes 0 difference to kids of peppa pig fandom age too.
