My company's policies around covid are just frikken stupid.
There is zero ability to social distance in the staff/warehouse area (shop/hot food counter). Posters have been put up telling us to socially distance from other staff at all times. We have been told to sanatise our hands every hour (not hand washing) We have to wear mask/visor when customer facing and in communal areas not on the shop floor.
Today new policies came in today that we are to wear masks/visors at all times even if we are working alone. That means staff that work in the kitchen doing a 12 hour night shift alone have to wear a mask at all times. There are other times were kitchen staff are working alone and dont face customers at all.
Baring in mind that the company are NOT carrying out any extra cleaning... they are ticking a list, but cleaning is not being done. The company are doing literally fuck all to make the premises covid safe for staff or customers.
AIBU to tell my staff that if they are working alone (in a hot kitchen!) that they don't need to wera a mask... everyone is gutted, its so warm in the kitchen. There will never be any other managment there to actually police this anyway!
