Allergic reaction to clothes from Sainsbury's

I've needed a couple of emergency bras (my current batch have all conspired to pop out the underwire in short succession) do I picked a couple up from Sainsbury's.
I've washed both but hot massive hives under both of them until I took an antihistamine.
I don't normally react badly to clothes but other random things set me off occasionally. Same thing happened with leggings from a different Sainsbury's years ago.

I'm not averse to picking up clothes fro
aibu to avoid Sainsbury's clothes? Has this happened to others?

Happened to my mum with a pair of M&S jeans a few years ago, it was awful, like burns covering her whole legs.

Your poor mum. Did you ever find out what caused it?

Not happened to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Nearly all of my (and DH) stuff is from Sainsburys these days as M&S just isn't what it used to be and Sainsburys is much handier in terms of parking and picking stuff up while I do the food shop.

My DD had exactly the same thing with bras from sainsburys. It seemed to settle after they were washed a couple of times.

I would just wash stuff before you wear it. You are probably having a reaction to something the clothes were treated with before being sold. It's not uncommon, although most people aren't affected by it. It is likely something specific to one of the Sainsbury's suppliers but it wouldn't hurt to wash all clothing before wearing (manufacturers recommend this anyway).
