This is my only day off this week.
I wanted to go clothes shopping for 2 DC's but it was the older ones football day and DP was going to that, fair enough can wait till next week.
DP ends up not going to the football but to the pub instead and is still there just now.
Im fuming because oldest DS was expecting his dad at the football and had no money to get home and had to walk to his grans for bus fare (DP knew this and prob thot DS would get a lift from one of the coaches)
I thought that he might want to spend some time with me as it is my only fucking day off.
Oldest DS waited in for his dad to tell him he scored a goal (big deal) as he said he would be in by 5pm and he's still not back.

No, YANBU

I realise im probably over reacting, but can't help but think what a selfish wanker, he's left me stuck with the toddler all day on my own and I don't drive.
I don't resent spending time with the kids no matter what the above sounds like, can't be bothered re wording it.

YANBU

Surely you know that EVERYTHING comes second place to the pub??

Gets on my farkin wick too. My dh in pub right now too, and is my only day off also.

haychEebeeJeebees · 06/10/2007 18:20

I find, when i feel like this, i have less patience and tolerance for the kids, which is sad. And of course i blame him!

lilacclaire · 06/10/2007 18:20

He very rarely goes to the pub (maybe once or twice a year) so he could have picked a better day.
Im pissed off as well because I told him I didnt want him to go and he went regardless.

yanbu. Poor you and ds.

RoxyNotFoxy · 06/10/2007 18:21

Maybe you've let him get away with it too many times before. Is it a habit with him?

lilacclaire · 06/10/2007 18:22

No roxy, he doesn't really go to the pub.

Also....
After me telling him I didn't want him to go, he says he is still going for 1 hour after the football. Leaves the car to get the bus, goes straight to pub and texted to say that it started raining so didnt bother with football.
Obviously he had no intention of going in the first place!!
