To ask if anyone has this Be-Ro cookbook and can help me out?

I had a Be Ro recipe book which had the best recipe for cranberry and coconut flapjacks. I've searched everywhere for it and it appears that DHay have thrown it out by mistake as he thought it was an advertising pamphlet...

It had a blue cover and I'm pretty sure it was the 40th anniversary edition. Is there a kind soul on here who has it and would he able to send me the flapjack recipe until I get a replacement?

Bonus: AIBU to LTB for throwing out what is obviously a cookbook on the shelf next to all the other cookbooks "by mistake"?

So nostalgic. Much loved. Can’t see an edition though.

I think I might have the Tate & Lyle basic flapjack recipe - I wrote it out from my mum's book (didn't have a blue cover though) when I left home, maybe you can just stir coconut and cranberries into it? I know my mum used to add dried fruit to hers to make it more interesting.

@IgiveupallthenamesIwantedareg0

At the beginning of Lockdown I cleared my kitchen shelf and discovered I had 51 cookbooks. On going through them I sorted out six that I actually use. I have offered all the others around in my friends circle, they all just google if they are looking for something.Charity shops for books don't exist where I live. Dump? It breaks my heart to throw away any book. The remaining 45 are still piled in a corner waiting for a taker. P.S. I didn't buy them all, people know I love to cook and bake and i got most of them as gifts.
They go very quickly on Freecycle round here.

I have 3 - my grandma's, my mum's and my own 40th edition.

I love the bero recipes

I have some old cookbooks that came from DH's grandmother - I was sure one was BeRo but I was mistaken.

I do have books from Tate & Lyle, Trex(1956), Symingtons, Spry, Penguin the grammar of cookery(1965) and Good Housekeeping(1956) plus Mrs Beeton and Delia Smith from the 80's.

I love old cookbooks and have made sure my DC can use imperial recipes.

Just to take the thread off on a tangent... I have the 40th edition, it was ordered by my grandma for me. I remember my grandma having a really (really really) old copy. My DH noticed a page was falling out so he put my book in the recycling. Thankfully it was indoors in the paper recycling or else it would have been divorced. He apparently didn't realise the sentimental value! I use it now with DD3, she loves making the gingerbread folk (and cats, and Unicorns, and dinosaurs!)
