Obviously I nod along and oooh and ahhh etc but really I want to say, 'what did/do you expect when you choose to do xyz'!

Yes, but what can you do?
People do make silly decisions sometimes and I've found money to be a strange one: will moan about the lack of it then go on expensive holidays ( pre covid) for example. Don't seem to prioritize things that well.

I know what you mean, but no-one likes to hear "I told you so"

I often see posts on MN from parents of large families complaining about the cost of school uniforms, school lunches, school trips etc.

Assuming that their life circumstances haven't changed (divorce, job loss, bereavement etc) surely they factored this in when they kept producing babies?

Sometimes I think it's a way of getting a stealth boast in. "It's so hard finding somewhere to service the Jag" Grin
