Super King Bed Frame

Am I being unreasonable to be annoyed at being unable to find a decent reasonably priced Super King Bed Frame.

Ive googled myself dry ... nothing of note apart from this one Alas the colour is to light and no option to choose another colour.

Where did you get yours?

Only posted here as cant find any other suitable home for the thread.

Have you tried Loaf?

Still dear enough but a frame could be cheaper than the JL one you linked, plus there’s over a 100 fabrics fo pick from.

I’ve just googled ‘super king sleigh bed frame’ and brought up multiple, several for under £500, most for under £800.

I assume that you’re after that exact bed just cheaper? So cream fabric sleigh bed?

Does it have to be a sleigh? I got my super king from Dreams (victorian style). Mattress cost a fortune but frame was very reasonable.

Hope you've got a giant bedroom to accommodate a super king sleigh bed! We got ours from bensons, used to be called heirloom but think they've changed the name now. It's the best bed we've ever had, very similar to a posh hotel bed.

Mine is Ikea but it was a lot cheaper than what you linked so probably not your thing.

Hi housewife - looks like we are looking for similar beds - and, like you Ive looked at everything out there! Look at loaf and if you like those there is a warehouse in bury st edmunds that sells seconds loaf furniture - my daughter bought from there and they are about half price!

If you ring and get put on their mailing list they will update you every couple of weeks as new stock comes in - but if you decide you are after a particular bed You can ring them to see if anything has come in - they are super helpful!

There is a shop called time4bed which has a couple cheaper but from my research it looks like any if the nice ones in super- king Are around £1,200 and upwards.

Im also looking at antique/vintage ones which can be cheaper but also difficult to get in super kingsize.

@Gobbycop it’s the fabric that’s too light. Plus I just want to buy a frame and not a project 😉

We bought three beds last year from Button and Sprung. One was super king. We also got a Tempur mattress and OMG, it's like going to bed in heaven every night. I can only just about see DH as well. Perfect!

@doingmeheadin yes fairly large. Currently got a 20 year old leather sleigh bed ... needs updating 😊

@saveforthat no doesn’t have to be Sleigh but that one I posted was the only frame I like so far. TBH on Loaf site now and they have some great frames and you can choose a fabric.

Try ebay. Sellers buy old stock/returns from stores like John Lewis, made.com, etc and sell them on for less than retail.
