To ask what gives a kitchen the visual WOW factor?

I’ve been struggling with sorting out my kitchen for sooooo long.I’m not creative, not great at visualising things.
It’s a lovely big, airy room. I want cupboards along one wall and a huge island.
Hob against the wall, sink in the island.
When you walk in you’ll see the island first.
What do you think gives a kitchen the wow factor?
Any ideas/advice gratefully received.
Am off out now but will check in later.
TIA.

Wow factor depends who's wowing I suppose. Wow for me is loads of worktop and cooking options

Alternatively:

In fairness I have a life size Jessica and Roger rabbit in my kitchen so probably has the same effect. More of a WTF factor than a wow factor though😂

Apart from what you've just mentioned, fantastic lighting, top of the range ovens and designer or very good quality chairs/stools.

My new kitchen is bright yellows, greens and orange, the material is laminated plywood. There is backlighting around some open shelves Everyone loves it. I personally hate kitchens that are black and grey they remind me of morgues.

It depends who you are trying to impress.

This.

No-one has ever commented on what I love about my kitchen, i.e the 400 yard view down the gardens on my street, the floor to ceiling windows that let on to my front garden.

Everything else is functional.

The only WOW kitchens I've ever seen have been the ones that have a sofa in them. Usually on TV progs.
