YANBU
Aldi's wholenut is straight sided, 100 percent peanuts, no xylitol, no palm oil, no sweeteners.

TheMandalorian · 15/08/2020 19:37

Indeed. Have you tried a teaspoon? Perhaps bend the handle of one to fit it in there.

starfishmummy · 15/08/2020 19:40

Naticus · 15/08/2020 19:40

StrawberrySquash · 15/08/2020 19:44

The supoon is the business. I have two and they are v useful.

rosiejaune · 15/08/2020 19:59

I have a mini spatula which works.

rosiejaune · 15/08/2020 20:00

Or use your finger?

GrumpyHoonMain · 15/08/2020 20:02

You are meant to use a spoon to spread peanut butter, not a knife.

BarbaraofSeville · 15/08/2020 20:04

Yanbu. I worked out that about 10% can be wasted due to the shape of the jar. Should be illegal, when we're so concerned about waste, it's not just the product, but the plastic jar.

If you complained, I guarantee they would reply with bollocks about iconic shape and brand recognition.

I bought sundae spoons from the pound shop to scrape out the bit that gets stuck at the bottom and use a small teaspoon or my finger to get that at the top.

Callipygion · 15/08/2020 20:12

I’d like to moan about Salad Cream bottles too! It’s so thick it’s hard to get the last bits out. I always end up using a long handled tea spoon (Thank you Ikea) (which is still too short) for the far end, then stick my finger in and swirl round the neck to get that bit out. I use a lettuce leaf to clean it off my fingers 😂

WaltzingBetty · 15/08/2020 20:13

Buy it in big tubs instead

KarlKennedysDurianFruit · 15/08/2020 21:11

The egg was for context, I was quite excited about it and sent a photo to DH.....

RandomGirl · 15/08/2020 21:54

@StrawberrySquash thanks for the Supoon tip - just ordered one!

RandomGirl · 17/08/2020 07:06

@StrawberrySquash my supoon arrived yesterday and I used it all afternoon - what a find!

RandomGirl · 17/08/2020 07:07

@KarlKennedysDurianFruit likewise with the Aldi peanut butter tub! It’s very good!

schoolcook · 17/08/2020 07:56

Anyone know how much the Aldi one is ?

Aweebawbee · 17/08/2020 08:03

Why would you design a container that needed a special tool to get something out of it? Imagine you had to dig out your 'hanger detatching hook' before you could get your clothes out of the wardrobe.

The most annoying one for me is the tiny clotted cream pots with deep ridges on the bottom. My tongue goes in there and I don't care who's watching.

BonosSigh · 17/08/2020 08:26

It's cos it mimics the shape of a peanut, innit

zazzyzaz · 17/08/2020 08:36

Overnight oats!

RandomGirl · 17/08/2020 08:41

@schoolcook £3.99 I think?
