So a few weeks ago a mole on my face changed to a lighter colour and also had puss in it (sorry tmi) it turned really hard and sore. When I could I let the puss out, I did.

Today, it's gone hard and sore again. Red and looks like there's a little puss again. It's been really hot this week and I've been out and about in it lots. Maybe its the sun?

I was thinking of making a doctors appointment but I really don't want to waste any one's time!
Advice please!

YABU - Don't go to the doctors.

Of course you should ring your GPsurgery.

If the thought of ‘wasting doctors’ time’ makes you anxious, just think how much of their time you’ll be saving by making sure that - if it is anything serious - it’s caught as early as possible.

I have a mole which sometimes gets infected, goes red, needs to be squeezed and then crusts over like a scab. My mole is a red one though and not a brown mole like elsewhere

Its usually when I have had suncream on so my pores get blocked so its like a spot has formed under the mole.

I usually just put savlon on and it goes back to normal. But if you have any concerns you should get moles checked

Get it checked. I’ve had two checked at various points, and they decided to remove both of them. Best to be safe.

OP- did you ever get this checked out in the end?

You know the doctor gets paid to see you. It’s not wasted time, that’s a paid gig they’ve got there.
