Ocado smart pass - how much should it cost?

In the pandemic it came out that Ocado had been charging different rates for their anytime smart pass to different customers.

I had been paying £10.99 which they spontaneously reduced a couple of months ago to £8.99. Am I still paying over the odds?

I was paying £1.49 a month for a midweek pass for the last 2.5 years.
Received an email a couple of months ago to say everyone will now be paying the same so now pay £3.99 a month

That said, the quality has really gone downhill so am looking to change

I fucked off Ocado after covid because despite using them once or twice a week for years they wouldn’t let me order. I only got the app back a couple of months ago!

Waitrose gave me priority delivery when I emailed and been with them ever since.

Yep - couldn’t get a delivery from ocado for weeks and weeks and I had to shield! But couldn’t get any response from them either. Gave up in the end. I used to love ocado, it felt like a real treat coz some of the food was gorgeous but I’ve really gone off it lately. I live near a M&S so if there’s anything I need, the in store offers are better than ordering via ocado.

£3.99 midweek or £8.99 anytime for me.

Been paying Ocado £1.99 a month for a delivery pass for ages, but emailed today to say it's now £8.99 a month. So I think it's time to move, thoughts on Morrisons or Sainsbury's??

I just cancelled mine, was paying £80 a year for anytime. I was expecting them to offer me a reduction (I wouldn’t have taken it as I don’t like them anymore for various reasons) but they just cancelled it straight away without any questions. I thought that was interesting, they must be protecting their fees as a solid revenue stream.

I pay 7.99 a month for anytime.

I found Sainsburys and Waitrose both have too many substitutions. I don't like Asda or Tesco. We recently had to use Waitrose for a delivery on holiday and there were 10 missing items and 18 substitutions! So we had to go to the supermarket anyway, which is what we were trying to avoid. I emailed to complain and they basically said it wasn't their fault as they didn't know what would be in stock. It has totally put me off Waitrose.

I was payig £1:99 for an anytime pass but they increase it to £8.99. That and the move to m&s made me cancel. I hate the m&s range!

Confusedandshaken · 29/08/2021 18:22

I pay £39.99 a year for midweek. I'm not renewing it though because they no longer supply the M&S sandwich platters which were the only reason I started using them. I love sandwiches. 😢
