Which CBeebies character would make the worst partner?

user1471517900 · 10/07/2020 17:32

Pat would be worst- clearly takes ages to make every delivery. Not a fan of his own home life.

Andy disappearing back in time/across continents/ to band rehearsals would run him a close second.

Thoughts?

Waffle dad🙄

BurnIt · 11/07/2020 01:47

Ha ha

My husband is a Gillingham football fan. He once remarked "I looked up Mr make and guess what? Hes a Gills fan " so thays a feckin no from me.. too much disappointment

Livingoncake · 11/07/2020 01:58

I've had some filthy thoughts about Molly and Mack's dad, but you'd never get five minutes alone without Molly wanting to be involved.

Andy is fit as f*ck but he spends every night in the museum clock and every day with Jen and Mrs Pickles, both of whom want to shag him senseless (you'll not convince me otherwise).

ladybirdsarelovely33 · 11/07/2020 02:21

@Rhayader seriously? Is the friend female? Been with him long?

Joywillcomeagain · 11/07/2020 02:49

I have a bit of a crush on Nigel from the baby club Blush.

DeeCeeCherry · 11/07/2020 02:57

I would say any of the Teletubbies. Overweight, useless, picky eaters and you'd have to repeat everything twice

Dipsy is slim in reality. & definitely not a picky eater...

Shit costume tho😁

endlessginandtonic · 11/07/2020 03:07

Mr Tumble would be under the patio within the week.

But Daddy Pig can move in any time.

ActuallyItsEugene · 11/07/2020 03:21

Mr Tumble/Justin and all he's other egos. Especially Justin (Justin's House) with his sing as loud as you can day, camping badge, custard pipes and cake baking.
Imagine coming downstairs in the morning to see that the prick has turned your freshly hoovered living room into a beach.

Iggle Piggle, purely because he's infatuated with Upsy Daisy.

I wouldn't, however, kick Robert the Robot, Mr Bloom, Andy or the dad from Molly and Mack out of bed.
Especially Mr Bloom

PhilCornwall1 · 11/07/2020 06:39

@Magpiecomplex

Justin and his relentless cheeriness would be under the patio before you could blink...
You might want to reconsider that. Justin's loaded!! Shock
Random63638 · 11/07/2020 06:49

Captain Barnacles, right drama queen always makes a fuss about something that's either pretty straightforward to sort/entirely of his own making/a natural phenomenon that just needs to play out.

SpillTheTeaa · 11/07/2020 06:54

Katy Ashworth. When I see her present it winds me up. She thinks she's funny when she's not. Your target audience is babies and young children! She really over uses her mouth. Nah. I can't deal with her. Her face annoys me.

Menstrualcycledisplayteam · 11/07/2020 06:59

@spilltheteaa oh no, I love Katy! Not in that way, though. Now, Ben on the other hand - bloody gorgeous.

mommybear1 · 11/07/2020 07:14

I love this thread 😂 DH and I are currently in hysterics reading it with Bing on in the background- agree with pp Flop would make me look like a terrible parent - he is just so patient and has such a soothing voice - odd given David Thretfall who was Frank in Shameless voices him sometimes I can hear Frank 🤣.

Mummydaydreams · 11/07/2020 07:15

I would so be happily married to Ben. Andy would also be nice. Like pp above would not be able to deal with having Justin or Flop from Bing anywhere near me. Ranger Hamza would be good for sending the kids out on walks every day and knowing they are having fun while having the house to myself. The dad from Waffle would make you question what you had been thinking every time you saw him

😢😢Nooooo!!!

I'm gutted my boys are now teens, I used to enjoy watching her. Purely for her presenting talent of course.

SnugglySnerd · 11/07/2020 07:22

I have twins. I am not a patient as Topsy and Tim's mum nor could Inkeep a white shirt and beige trousers combo clean for more then 5 minutes! I think I need whatever she takes!
I thought the 2 guys in Molly and Mack were a couple and she was their daughter. Surely there isn't enough of an age gap for one to be the other's dad??
My dcs all adore Maddie Moate so I would probably let her move in and do interesting sciency things with them all day while I stayed in bed! I'm fairly sure dh would also be ok with this arrangement Grin

TwelfthMarchOnATreadmill · 11/07/2020 07:31

Waffle dad is awful, but I can't believe you all hate him more than Topsy and Tim's dad.

From my years of carefully study, I am as sure as I can be that Mr TT is bonking a succession of colleagues at work, while gormlessly refusing to do any housework at home. He tries to instigate "fun" rough and tumble games at National Trust properties, where he jumps about, feints a bit at his kids, throws a leaf in the air and shouts "Yeah!" and "Good job!" at nobody in particular. He will expect you to invite his mother to live with you, when she decides to downsize at the "frail" age of 65. She will sit on her money, like Smaug on his horde, until she is 82,pops her clogs, and leaves it to the cat's home. The Twins, at this point, will be at/have finished their studies at Goldsmiths,if they haven't flunked out. Topsy will be snorting coke at art gallery parties, and Tim will be working in a factory as he is funding his second trip to Thailand, this time he's going to get a job as a bouncer at a strip club and stay there for the foreseeable.

Meanwhile Daddy will have found a younger colleague who is daft enough to marry him, will claim Mummy was always a boring old nag, and will pop off to start family no 2 with the totty.

He will soon regret this, as Mummy retrains as a therapist and moves into a minimalist flat with the dad of Tim's little friend. Is the friend called Peter? The dad is fit and does DIY

Aria20 · 11/07/2020 07:33

@endlessginandtonic daddy pig "is a bit of an expert" at most things GrinWink

TwelfthMarchOnATreadmill · 11/07/2020 07:35

I think Mack is meant to be about 18,and the dad (not that I've ever had a sex dream about him or anything, nope) is about 40? I always took it that Mac was the graduation suprise baby, then the parents worked on their careers and buying a house before having Molly.

Livingoncake · 11/07/2020 07:51

Oh, and Fireman Sam! That pompous goody-two-shoes really gets on my work. I know it's a widely held theory that he's Norman's father, but actually, I think Sam probably considers himself a bit above anything so crass and undignified as sex.

TheGroak · 11/07/2020 07:56

Bing, obviously. Wet, pathetic, sulky little bastard.

Nigel from Baby Club is a fine specimen of a man Wink

Livingoncake · 11/07/2020 07:57

Sorry, that should be "gets on my wick".

savemejebus · 11/07/2020 08:03

I can't believe no-one has mentioned Line from Swashbuckle! Those eyes 😍

I can and will never ever get my head around Waffle the Wonderdog and their set up. They're the Brooklyn-Bell-ends in this house.

anguauberwaldironfoundersson · 11/07/2020 08:59

@TheGroak

Bing, obviously. Wet, pathetic, sulky little bastard.

I would not crawl over Nigel to get to DH Grin

And yes to the PP who said Mr Maker would apologise after sex. Your Elizabeth Arden Double Wear would disappear double quick. That man is literally caked in concealer!

I have a crush on the guy who plays Robert the Robot. Who cares if Robert doesn't have a peen. I'm sure he'd have an attachment for that kind of thing (think of the size) and my house would be spotless.
