It's got to be better than the TV series. It seems a little inappropriate to release it now though

It's the best time to release it. Plague/virus films seem to have shot up on popular in recent months.

You can't put the stand in a film. It's too beefy. Even the books have bits missing. The original book was longer. They took the sodomising with a gun bit out for a start.

I think its going to be a 10 part miniseries. So hopefully they won't have to cut much.

Wow, not sure how I feel about this but will definitely await with interest.

In contrast to apparently everyone most, The Stand was one of the few screen SK adaptations that I thought worked well, and I understood most of the changes they made. Limited time and simplifying a complex storyline.
