The breathing exercises they teach you for labour are actually for when your toddler is tantrums in Tescos.

When running a marathon, 20 miles is half way.

Great advice guys. Think my favourite is about waiting 24 hrs before sending letter/email/message - great advice. Keep them coming though. I have enjoyed reading through them

I got this from a similar thread on MN a while back.
On attempting to do something new - like driving if you think you wont be able to pass the test for example ...

" Look at all the other idiots doing it"

It helps me at work when I have something to tackle that seems beyonds me and I look at who is already doing it.
