Or is it xanthelasmae?

I have two on my right eye and I can feel the top one actually weighing my lid down a bit! I’ve had my cholesterol checked and it’s normal - dr thought it might be genetic as my dad had them. I’m 46 and had them for a couple of years and I hate them, they’re so ugly and make me feel v self-conscious.

I can’t get them removed on the NHS obviously, so have been thinking about going private. Has anyone done this? How do you find a dr that’s any good? I worry I’ll pick a crap dr who’ll leave me with scars that are even worse!

Hi - did you progress removal? I'm considering it too. My mum has them, and like you my cholesterol is fine
