Does anyone know who the current CEO of Currys is? I have a complaint who no one is taking seriously so thought I should go higher.

If anyone can help I would be so grateful.

Yabu to expect me to google something you could easily google yourself

heartsonacake · 02/05/2020 10:47

YABU. All any of us would be doing is googling the same info you are. Nobody has it to hand.

Balhammom · 02/05/2020 10:49

YABU and seriously deluded if you think your letter is going to go anywhere near the CEO...

Tinypaws2 · 02/05/2020 10:49

I can only find this one.

For avoidance of doubt, the CEO’s “public” email will actually go to his secretarial team, who will then forward on complaints to customer services.

I once temped in one of said teams at a large multinational when I was a student.

noenergy · 02/05/2020 11:14

I have googled it but was getting differing info so thought maybe someone might know who it actually is. Like someone who works there. Some people on here really are so unkind. And there's really no need for it.

@Tinypaws2 Thanks, that's who I thought it was too but wasn't sure.

@Pelleas thanks for that.

You are mistaking exasperation for unkindness.

ArnoJambonsBike · 02/05/2020 11:22

@Balhammom, your experience is different to mine. I worked for a large multinational in the Executive Office. My job was to deal with issues raised to the CEO - we never passed anything to customer services as we had authority to resolve that they never have. I only ever contact directors if I have a legitimate complaint now, because I know it will be resolved.

The Board got a daily report of what issues we had received and had full access to our case notes. Whether they took any notice or just trusted that we would sort them is a different point, but I can assure you that the customer services team got nowhere near the director level complaints.

Back to the main point, I've had dealings with Alexander Baldock's team twice in the last year and they were excellent on both occasions.

@ArnoJambonsBike Thank you so much, that was very helpful.

So I take it that he is indeed the current CEO, all sorts of names were popping up on google.

Yes. Just check ceo.email in future. That's pretty much up to date.

noenergy · 02/05/2020 12:02

Great thanks!! Much appreciated!!

Good luck, I'd never buy anything from Currys again. So many better retailers out there, they deserve to go under.

I recently bought a Panasonic bread maker. It was a replacement for my old one which broke after a year.
When I phoned the number given, I went through a very long rigmarole only to be told that the service department was shut over the weekend. If I had been told this at the start, it would have saved me a lot of time..
On Monday I tried again, after a tedious time, I was told that I had dialled the wrong number, and was given another number. When I eventually got through, I was told that I had dialled the wrong number and was told that I should have dialled the first number!
I was put through to the wrong department so had to start all over again..
Eventually I got through to a very helpful agent. He eventually managed to contact someone and after an inordinate time the problem seems to be sorted
Yours faithfully
John Clements
