My husband is being a total dick. I was reading the 2018 femicide census and happened to read out loud a few of of the statistics because I found them so shocking. DH says they’re meaningless because they’re not presented alongside analogous statistics for men. I said he sounds like a twat asking “well, how many Nazis were killed by Jews?” and he called me a feminist killjoy.

Yeah he’s totally right all those deaths of women, all the reports and everything surrounding them to see if we can prevent these things happening in the future are all fucking meaningless because the poor men aren’t included.

So fucking fed up with whataboutery regarding the murder/exploitation and general suffering of women.

Better than just behaving like a dick like your DH. He's basically saying women's deaths don't have impact unless compared to men. What an arse.

And if you had said that the percentage of violence against men by women was much smaller, that men kill other men at a higher rate than females kill other females and it looks like the running theme was men kill people at a much higher rate than women, what would he say to that?

Christ almighty. Tell him men don't need to be the center of everything all the fucking time.
