Sending old passports to two different addresses when renewing for both kids?

I’ve renewed their passports online and I have had the email to say everything is done I just need to send the old passports off. The only thing is with each application I’ve been told to send to a different address. Is that normal?

Yes my two kids went to two different addresses. No idea why.

Oh ok. I was wondering if it was a mistake or something but perhaps not. I assume you got them both back renewed ok?

I don't know why but we just sent ours off yesterday... my daughter was to Corby and stepdaughter to Hemel Hempstead.

We wondered if it was because I asked a colleague to do a paper ID verification whereas my stepdaughter's was done online by one of DH's friends.

But perhaps it's just random.

I just sent ours to hemel Hempstead yet the reminder email said corby? Worried I've been scammed
