How do I tell them I don't want birthday things?

Hi all, I am coming up to a big birthday and have tons going on at the mo in life. I have some lovely family and friends who keep asking me what I'm doing or what I'd like, but I really feel that I want nothing gift wise in particular or even a do or event. I have already 1 small girly event organised but that is quiet and chilled, plus a wee birthday lunch with DP and my DM. I don't want to sound ungrateful but any help with words to keep expressing this to people? AIBU to just want to say no (nicely) and how please?

Why don't you set up a page for a charity and ask people to make a donation in your name?
