To ask if this was a miscarriage

Apologies if this upsets anyone but I've not experienced this before.
Had cramps since mid cycle enough to make me go bed as soon as home from work. Before period sharp pains on and off and 1 sided too, they went then period was 2 days late started with brown discharge. This came with pain felt like the pain when I went in with my son at 8cm dialated, paracetamol wasn't touching it. I was also sick as well and whilst being ill had funny flashes in my vision on Monday. Have passed small flesh like stuff plus couple of clots. But feel better now. Has anyone been through this? Does it sound like an early miscarriage?
do I need to see a doctor still?

I'm sorry, it sounds like you've had a tough time whatever the reason. I've had miscarriages (though not as early as this) and endometriosis. From my own experiences, this sounds like my bad periods due to endometriosis. I'm obviously not in a position to say for certain that what you've experienced wasn't a miscarriage but I did want to give the perspective that the feelings you've had can be part of menstruation.

I think at such an early stage, in your position I'd also be asking myself whether there's any benefit to worrying over whether this was a miscarriage or not. I do understand, I've been there - for me it didn't help my mental health to dwell on whether these similar experiences might have been early losses (as it turned out, they weren't).

Just to say, your feelings may not be part of 'normal' menstruation and if you're concerned you're well within your rights to see a GP

This happens with some of my periods, I'm gay so definitely not pregnant lol. Some of mine are horrendous, others aren't too bad. But obviously miscarriage is a possibility , could be worth mentioning to a doctor if pain continues after you stop bleeding?

Thanks, my mum does have endo so there's a possibility I'm developing it also. Just so far the level of pain has been unusal for me. I'm 30 and have a child already so maybe it's progressing with age

Have you done a pregnancy test? It stays positive for 2-3 weeks post miscarriage so that will give you your answer.
