To follow this diet (carb cycling)?

4 days of low-carb, eating around 1200 cals a day - then 3 days of eating what I want (within reason / high carb)?

Anyone doing something similar? Interested in anyone who has carb cycled and found it works for them!

I’ve never heard of it, it doesn’t sound like it would work but it sounds like my kind of diet so I’d love to know if anyone has had success with it!

I work with a few people who carb cycle for muscle bulking, but I don't think they do it quite like this... it's usually a maintenance diet for 4-5 days a week, and 2-3 days of high carb, combined with a training regime.

It seems to work well for them gaining muscle, I'm not sure if it'd work for weight loss.

I have five days of low carb at around 1200 calories and then two days at weekend of eating what I like within reason.

I am post menopause and it is VERY slowly coming off.

Not really weight loss - more weight maintenance!

I'm currently losing weight but don't have much to lose - looking to ease into something a bit more long-term after and I think this could be the one!

Anyone?

Sort of like a low-carb 5:2 but 4:3...

Hoping it will keep me motivated for my treat days and also give me a calorie excess to indulge with on those days!
