Hand hold

I've just come back from a smear to be told that they've located a mass inside the vagina. Doesnt appear to be coming from the cervix directly, more the walls.
Doctor is uncertain as he couldnt see much more.
I've now been referred to gaenocology for an urgent appointment and the C word was thrown around... my head is a mess, I'm only 34 with two young children.
I'm trying to rack my brains for any symptoms and I cant recall anything.. no bleeding, no pain. Just the odd bout of bloating here and there.

I guess I'm just here for virtual friends as I dont really have any IRL.

Thanks for reading.

Wynston · 24/01/2020 13:27

Any idea of timescale for the appointment???

BlackeyedSusan · 24/01/2020 13:27

How frightening. Do you have someone to take you to the appointment?

cherryberrymum · 24/01/2020 13:28

Sending love and positivity. I pray you get an appointment quickly.

HollyBen · 24/01/2020 13:28

I am so sorry you are going through this. Here to listen xx

CanICelebrate · 24/01/2020 13:30

You can have a hand hold from me too Flowers

Bellesboo2 · 24/01/2020 13:31

I'm praying it's nothing, or benign. I cant allow that thinking of it being something else.
Doctor has said hes asked for an urgent referral, however, as it's a friday this maybe monday now.

Wynston · 24/01/2020 13:33

BabbleBee · 24/01/2020 13:34

Handhold 💐

gingerchaos · 24/01/2020 13:34

Handhold from me too

cakeandchampagne · 24/01/2020 13:35

Flowers Thinking of you.

Bellesboo2 · 24/01/2020 13:35

I do, my husband is on his way home to comfort me and collect children from school.
If hate for them to see me upset, I need to pull myself together.
I'm hoping this mass is nothing, is a cyst most likely? Who knows.

Halloweenbabyy · 24/01/2020 13:36

It should go under the 2ww so you should hear something very quickly xx

DontBuyLangClegCashmere · 24/01/2020 13:37

It sounds terrifying.
Handhold and sending love and positive thoughts XX

DontBuyLangClegCashmere · 24/01/2020 13:38

My MiL just recently had unexpected bleeding and it turned out to be a benign polyp so these things do happen.

It's excellent that they're referring you urgently and I hope you receive excellent care.

Bellesboo2 · 24/01/2020 13:41

That's comforting, dontbuy.
Thanks for all the 💐

Handhold and flowers from me. Hopefully it won't be anything too serious. Try not to worry over the weekend. FlowersFlowers

Strongmummy · 24/01/2020 13:47

I’m sorry you’ve had this shock. You are now in the best hands. Whatever it is they will find it and it will be removed/treated (if necessary). I’m sending you positive energy x

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 24/01/2020 13:51

Handhold here as well. It’s obviously really frightening but good that your GP seems on it.
Sending positive thoughts and a very unmumsnetty hug to keep you going until your DH gets home Flowers

MuggaTea · 24/01/2020 13:55

handhold

you are in good hands and will have more information soon.

BettyAll1 · 24/01/2020 13:57

This sounds terrifying. Can you lie in bed and have a good old cry and get your DH to tell the children you’re poorly? Am going through a difficult period of awaiting diagnosis with young children. It’s hit me like a bus and mentally I’ve needed bed rest. Your children don’t need you to act normal every day so be kind to yourself, reach out to others and have a good cry. Big hand hold and hug Flowers

Jomarchsburntskirt · 24/01/2020 13:57

Good luck x

Ilovepinot · 24/01/2020 13:59

What a shock. Hopefully whatever it is they have caught it early. Hope your DH and kids keep you busy over the weekend and you get your appointment quickly. Flowers

cuckooken · 24/01/2020 14:00

Definitely go for a lie down away from it all, take some time for yourself. Hopefully you will get your appointment really soon Thanks

Wynston · 24/01/2020 14:00

So glad you're husband is coming home and sorting the kids out.
Be kind to yourself over the weekend Flowers
