Subscription piggy backing from old friend

I formed a close friendship with someone a few years ago and added her to my subscription on a music streaming app as I had space. Over the past 18 months I no longer hear from her at all however I've never deleted from the subscription. One of my step kids needed the slot so I deleted the absent friend and within 15 mins I got a shirty text about it.

DH just did the same thing actually, only it was his brother sharing the app. He took his brother off to add me again, as it was my slot that I hadn't been using but then decided I wanted to start using it. Our DC have the other slots. Brother either hadn't been using it anyway or got his own sub.

I'm not totally mean, btw, I share my login to a couple of online newspaper subscriptions with friends.

A heads up message to let her know would have been civilised. But no arguments - this is what IS happening, not a negotiation.

Started with a text saying she'd had an email saying I'd removed her and was that right. I replied explaining the situation and that I'd removed all bar DP etc and why (ie. I have no idea if you're even using the subscription!) got a long, passive aggressive reply about how her late teenage kids use the subscription with a sob story about playlist thrown in.

Ps. I am not a heartless witch! It's just annoyed me!
