Should I worry? (health concern)

Sorry, shamelessly posting for traffic Blush

I've had a Garmin watch for 2 months, one with a heart rate monitor. My average resting heart rate is 46. At night it drops to 35.

I'm not an athlete. (!) Could it be indicative of an issue? Don't want to waste GPs time without reason, and Google isn't helping!

Everyone's heart rate drops during the night. But if you're worried then I suggest you phone nhs direct.

My resting HR is usually 42/43. Has dropped to 29 when I’ve been asleep in hospital before.
I’ve been diagnosed with Bradycardia but atm it’s not causing me any problems so they’re not concerned. If you’re worried make an appointment with your GP because what’s normal for one, isn’t for another.

Mine is similar - and am also not an athelete, although I do run fairly regularly. I also have low blood pressure, low body temperature (35 is not unusual for me) and a lowish respiration rate. These things are just my normal! If it were a new thing, it would probably need checking out, but if there are no symptoms, I probably wouldn't worry.

You need an ECG so I’d see your GP. Have you checked your pulse manually? Although some people sit outside the average 60-100 bpm, I’d want to check your ECG is normal, to rule out heart block etc.

Do you have a friend/family member with a HR watch you can swap with a couple of days? DH has a Garmin and his seems to read low too despite no exercise plan and a moderately stressful job. My Fitbit reads a good 20bpm higher!
