To ask if anyone has had this before

So before I start I will seek medical attention but I’m just curious to know if anyone has had similar.

About a week again I noticed that I feel like I can’t catch my breath. I am not breathless or unwell I just feel like I need to take in a sharp intake of breath and sometimes it doesn’t catch, if that makes sense?

I know I suffered from something similar about 12/13 years ago and the GP put it down to anxiety and stress (I was about 21/22 at the time and going through a bit of a tough time)

Recently I’ve found my self quite anxious again - not about any major thing but about lots of little things that probably combines to create anxiety and stress.

I sleep well at night but I’m just not sure if I’ve gotten into the habit of needing a sharp intake of breath - almost like a tic/spasm that needs to be satisfied. My chest can feel a bit tight but then I think this happens when I start to worry about it. Anxiety breeding anxiety 😖

Can anyone help me or at least let me know if you’ve had something similar?

I feel like a bit of a weirdo 🙈

I'm like this a lot of the time. Mine is caused by anxiety.

@Pinkflipflop85

Oh I’m relieved to hear that even though it’s rubbish for you. How do you stop it?

I’ve been worried as well that I have a collapsed lung 😅

Yes mine was also anxiety, got some paper onion bags from Tesco and carried them around with me in case I hyperventilated, it had an excellent placebo effect.

I feel like I am trying to draw in a sharp breath all the time. I must look so odd. Sometimes I yawn to be able to get a really deep breath
