To reheat this beef?

I defrosted some stewing beef this morning and cooked a beef and veg casserole. There’s about half still left and I’d like to reheat the leftovers for dinner tomorrow.

Is it safe to reheat meat that has been frozen then cooked?

Also, could I potentially freeze the casserole and defrost at a later date - or is it not a good idea to refreeze?

I just don’t want to get food poisoning basically!

I would reheat but probably wouldn't freeze and defrost. It would probably be fine though.

I think either would be fine! I’ve always been told that meat kind of ‘resets’ once it goes from raw to cooked, so it can be frozen again and reheated again once.

Thank you!

It's fine to reheat, or to freeze. It was frozen while raw, so freezing once cooked doesn't count as "refreezing".

Ah okay - great!

I think with beef it will be fine, wouldn't want to do it with chicken tho.

I agree. I do this all the time with batch cooking. It's fine.
