Is the biggest cop out ever.
Just that really.
It was a whole days washing up. Dh thought he would do it after I had cooked.
I work part time and usually do virtually all household stuff but I worked both days this weeken and he works Monday to Friday.

Shoud have said I know I should have left it or told him to get off his arse and do it but impossible to cook with a full bowl of washing up and stuff on side.
For full disclosure he has a long term health condition which has been bad but much improved now.

Your OP doesn't make much sense - are you saying you are annoyed that DP wouldn't wash up before you cooked?/that he never does/something else?

YANBU OP but I just wouldn't cook for a man by default in this way, why bother- he can arrange his own food. There is more to life!

If he didn't cook I had to as the kids need feeding. I Suppose I could have said sort yourself out but that would be petty.

Depending on how ill he is if you worked all weekend and he was home with the kids he should have cooked, let alone washed up

Northernsoulgirl45 · 12/01/2020 21:12

He is having a good period so pretty well.

But why would that be petty OP? (Genuinely not trying to be inflammatory, it sounds all very frustrating and unfair) The children are dependents, he is not your son, he is an adult. He knows it is hard to cook if the kitchen is dirty he just doesn't presumably care because he knows you will do it, and he can get away with not.

Does he do anything for you? Does he work at all?

Tbh he does earn a good salary by wohm but I seem to be the only one working inside the home .
