Change in contact order?

Becathx92 · 11/01/2020 16:42

My ex was ordered 2 hours supervised contact every alternate Thursday, this began 2 days ago (9th jan), contact is to be supervised by my mum and any communication is to also go through her, due to DA. She has recieved a text from him this morning asking if contact could be changed to every Thursday, which I have said no to as I think it's too much after no contact for 3 years (he walked out when our son was 1). Our son is autistic so his routine needs to be kept at minimum disruption.

Am i being unreasonable for not agreeing to the change after 1 contact session?

No, yanbu at all. He's pushing boundaries. Hold your ground.

If he wants to vary the order then he needs to go back to court to ask for a variation. He’s trying to push boundaries- he had his opportunity to push for weekly very recently in court.

Hold your ground and stick to the court order
