The easiest thing is just not to tell people that you’re not drinking

You’re drawing attention to it yourself by talking about it. Stop, and no one will notice.

Just don’t drink.
I’ve never understood how people can/are allowed to drink during the working day, always seemed utterly bizarre to me.
How can you be doing your job to the bet of your ability if you’ve been drinking?

There are still places where people have boozy work lunches?!

I dont drink mid day when working. Just tell them that or just say you dont fancy alcohol. I don't get the January martyr thing but we tend not to drink much during the week anyway so I don't feel the need for a month of abstinence.

My partner is feeling the frustration with me. “Do you want a bottle of wine dent?”

“Nah I’m alright thanks - there’s some lemonade at home for your whiskey if you fancy a drink”

Then he has the face of a slapped arse!

Have no idea why people act funny when you stop drinking, but they do. Just say you’re alright and want a soft drink, don’t mention dry January because it reflects on their drinking!
