Sorry it's another inlaws driving me crazy type thread

So dh told the inlaws we're consdiering moving house. He showed them a house we were thinking of putting an offer in (it has since gone). They rang tonight (whilst he was out) with a list of potential houses (that we've already considered and rejected due to being too expensive).
They are suggesting an interest only mortgage because he is likely to come into some money when his grandmother dies How sick is that?
Why can't they stay out of things?

Well I guess that the first bit was them trying to be helpful, but the second bit seems rather ghoulish to me! What are they like!!

Not only ghoulish, but really irresponsible suggestion imo. I think you live your life the best you can and any money you inherit is a bonus, not something to be relied upon!

Just keep on politely declining ALL of their "helpful" suggestions; they may eventually get the message

Exactly crokky. So glad you all agree with me.
They just don't seem to get it that the grandma in question might need that money for nursing care etc.
Ghoulish is the word alright!

My mother and father used to go visit house we had popped round to look at. Walk round area. Look up history of house, at one it 'could be haunted as its on the site of an old monastry'. Tell me all the things that could be a problem (that we already knew to look at ie drains roof etc and that's what a surveyor is for).

And my mother let my sister, in her teens decide which of my granddads furniture she wanted...he was in full health at the time...he passed away 3 years ago and that's when I found out what had been done and . Strange...don't think they asked him if was okay...

Some people have too much time on their hands to interfere and think ghoulish thoughts!

And I was furious about the houses cause they were never that interested in me when i was a kid!

Tell them to find a hobby...like skydiving...without a parachute. Cause then you could get a better house with their money
