Vegan low carb

I low carb at the moment but my diet is def not vegan-friendly!

Following with interest as i'd like to cut down on my meat and dairy consumption

Initial thoughts are there are nuts, vegetables like cabbage, broccoli etc, oils like coconut oil or ghee (don't know if this is animal or not)
You could roast veggies in plenty of oil, eat plenty of nuts and seeds by check they are low carb friendly first.

Make sure you have a multivitamin and plenty of electrolytes too as it will be restrictive!

Skinny bitch diet is vegan low carb. Loads of tofu and tempeh and home cooking. Would that work for you?

Soy messes up with my hormones, even organic fermented and non fermented, processed or unprocessed edamame ...so i dont touch it.

I think its very hard to be low carb vegan fully without fake meats and cheeses and soy.

Another thing is how low are you going? Under 20 carbs like keto is very hard vegan but 100 carbs per day is more doable.

@Coughy4u that's really interesting. I know soya isn't great for hormones but can I as how you isolate what affects your hormones personally?

I've done lots of wonder reading around diet and hormones but I wouldn't have a clue how to know what affects my hormones without a complete isolation diet.

Would love to know your thoughts

Exactly, i isolated it. I ate everything as normal and excluded soy. When i reintroduced different soy products gradually one by one my symptoms returned. I had breast pain and very painful periods, very bloated, acne and my hair was thinning. So I stopped soy for 6 months and each month and with each period was better..i didnt take anything like suppliments or.exclude anything else. Im not on hormonal contraception, no changes in stress, bra, products, etc.

You can get your hormones levels tested, see your levels.

Insulin is a hormon related to food, too.

Soy messed up with my estrogen levels.

There is a good book called 'it must be my hormones" wriiten by a doctor.

Ghee is clarified butter, so definitely not vegan.
