To wonder what’s going on with me? (Any doctors here?)

I’m 38. 3 kids. Youngest is 4. Until a few months ago, my periods were like clockwork. I always had short cycles -22 days. A few months ago, I began having breast pain a week before my periods. It was so bad, I had to take ibrupofen a couple of times. Pain subsided when period stared, so I assumed it was hormonal. Around the same time, my cycles became unpredictable, but still within the “normal” range. 21-26 day cycles. This NEVER happened before. Weirdly, last cycle was 30 days long and ZERO boob pain. Had heavy bleeding on day1-2, lighter on day 3 and 4. By day4 night, no more blood, it turned into clear discharge! ( I usually have moderate bleeding that lasts full 5 days). I’m sorry for TMI :(
Today is day 6 of current cycle and my boobs are killing me! Boob pain AFTER periods?? Wtf?? Both boobs are hurting, left one slightly more. They feel heavy and sore.

I have zero sex drive and quite dry down there.

Does anyone relate to this mess? What’s happening with me? I’ll ring my GP tomorrow, but I’m sure it’ll be atleast a week until I get seen and then a few more weeks for the tests and results! Im hoping someone here can tell me what this is likely to be.

I started getting peri-menopausal symptoms at 38, could that account for your menstrual symptoms?

It only went on for a 3-4 months, and I have a vague recollection that I had some sort of hormone cream that I applied to my foof. However, that sounds so very wrong that I think I may be misremembering!

Anyway, I didn't actually have my menopause until I was 50, and it was a doddle, so please don't worry.

Perimenopause for a guess

My mum didn’t menopause until 52. If this is peri-menopause, do I have to endure over 10years of this utter misery??

Could be perimenopause but may be worth having your prolactin levels checked. Check to see if you can express milk, other symptoms include reduced libido, lethargy and irregular periods.
