Is he shy?

So I know this man and we are just friends through work.Anyway he has my number and we occasionally text and he has video called me the once too.We have a good flow of conversation over the phone but when I bump into him he seems shy.Its like he is totally different person over the phone.But yet he seems to be ok talking to other girls face to face except me.I dont know what to think!

Could possibly...possibly be shy.

Could like you but have a gf/wife so doesn't want anyone to know he has been chatting with you.

I'd be very wary of any man who acts differently in person when other people are around to how he does with you when it is just you two (eg: over the phone).

Why is always the man is trying to 'hide' something? I am a completely different person via texts and other social media communications, i find it easier to 'talk' via those outlets and probably come across totally different to the facade i present if i speak with people face to face as i find that quite difficult to do and my brain freezes.
Not to say he isn't hiding something but i wouldn't automatically leap to that conclusion.

He likes you more than the other girls so gets embarrassed when talking to you face to face. Talking over the phone is less intimidating - less eye contact - so he can be more relaxed over the phone.

You've only spoken the once on the phone though, and texted occasionally. Maybe there was something there but there isn't now? Or he might fancy you? Hard to tell based on one phone call.

He sounds shy to me, maybe he does like you more than just 'friends'
