Really tempted to do the 23andMe with health predisposition with it, but I’m also worried it tells me I’m likely to get a serious illness and I just end up being freaked out from it. Anyone done this before and what does it actually tell you?

I knew I have a familial predisposition to late onset Alzheimer's and the test indeed showed that to be the case. I am not taking any immediate action, but I started researching euthanasia in old age - from legal position / will / specifying trigger points to costs. I have seen how it is / was with 3 out of 4 my grandparents, and I definitely don't want to live like this.

Just because a gene related to an illness shows up, it does not mean you will get it or that you are at significantly greater risk. Read some work by a real geneticist such as Adam Rutherford, it will put your mind at rest.
