I need to upgrade my car and was after a bit of advice, i would like a car that I can get a pram in and still have some room left for shopping, but not feel like I’m driving a bus!
I thought I could ask you MN’s for your advice 😊
Thanks in advance

Ford Focus every time. Affordable, reliable, look nice, plenty of space without being massive, easy to get parts for...love them!

I second a Ford Focus! I love ford as a make, they're reliable and also look nice! Big enough for a family but still feels light to drive!

Budget is key.

The Ford Focus is an obvious choice - and for good reason.

But, if you have the budget, a Tesla Model 3 would be the way to go.

Depends what your budget is and how you feel about cars. We briefly looked at bigger cars but to get something like an SMax the prices were ridiculous. In the end DH bought a Dacia. If you go for something unfashionable you get way more for your money.

Budget? Mileage?

WeeSleekitTimerousMoosey · 03/01/2020 13:04

Another vote for a Focus, with added if you're buying second hand look out for an ex-motobility one. They've been properly serviced and often come with very low milage. Both our current Focus and the previous one were ex-motobility and have served us very well throughout our now grown children's childhoods.

Of course other similar size cars are available if you have a bigger budget.

I have a Hyundai Tucson, it is a large car that doesn't feel like driving a bus, has loads of room for car seats, the boot is big enough to put a pushchair or buggy & still have room for shopping as well.
