DENTISTS OVER HERE PLEASE

IABVU but am desperate. Have seen three dentists, ENT, had xrays etc. NOBODY has been able to help.
2013 got a lump above a tooth. Saw dentist and doctor - both said was just a bony lump. Saw ENT - said same. Xrays taken. About same time my nose started running perpetually.

Fast forward three years and a chance comment leads dentist to realise it’s an abscess. It’s drained and packed, root canal follows. All good. Nose is still runny, but blocked on one side (in cold weather pain runs between root canalled tooth and blocked part of nose).

2019 and nose still blocked on one side, runny on the other. Ask dentist to X-ray. He says it’s got a dark bit at the top of root canal. Could be a bit of infection, could be scarring from old infection. Advised to ignore.

This nose is driving me INSANE. Any dentists out there that can advise - should I ask them to treat as if the tooth IS infected at the top in case that’s why? Or should I just get the bloody thing removed and hope that kills it?

So sorry to post in AIBU but I am so, so desperate and miserable about it, and I’ve tried seeing multiple medical bods about it. ☹️ Hoping some bright spark pops up with just the right idea to solve it.
Thanks and sorry.

No one can advise without taking a medical history, looking at notes and carrying out an examination. If you have lost confidence in your own general dental practitioner, go and see another one. If you still are happy to see your own GDP go and ask for a specialist referral to an endo specialist probably.

Other point - you should not really have seen an ENT in the first place for a lump above a tooth - that is an intra oral problem and should have been oral surgery/max fax remit
