His way always has to be right & he’s like a dog with a bone when he gets an idea in his head, he’ll send text message after text message if I don’t reply to him, last night he was messaging about what to tell the school - I just want to say leave me alone it’s NYE I just want to spend time with my boys. I know in reality it’s best to have open dialogue about our child but he’s just so bloody wearing!

Can you get a second number and only check his number once a day/ every couple of days and when he has the dc.

Things like what to tell the school would be much better in a considered email so that all the information was together.
Maybe have an email address that is for non-urgent email communication and ask him to use that and look at it every few days then reply.

Things like that are only putting of the inevitable interaction that has to be done. It’s all urgent to him because he is only focussed on himself and cannot understand that other people ie me have lives too - because I’m on maternity leave his favourite tag line at the moment is ‘I work full time’ when he forgets something or is disorganised.

Yes his time is more important to him than your time. You need to be less available for him. If he sends five texts to a phone you only check once every two days you are controlling the time you spend on it.

Set some boundaries with him. Just because it's about DC there is still an appropriate time for, and amount of contact and he is going beyond that.
