Sausage rolls

So in the rush of Xmas I didn't put the pack of sausage rolls in the freezer. DP has managed to pull them apart and has cooked them anyway. But we are wondering - will they be safe to eat?

When they came out of the fridge there were no funny smells.

How long were they in the fridge for? I assume they started off frozen?

Why did they need to be prised apart if they hadn’t been in the freezer?

And how long were in they in the fridge? Sell-by date?

eveshopper · 26/12/2019 18:12

Omg it depends how long they were in the fridge and what the use by date is Confused

If they were slowly defrosting in the fridge for no more than a couple of days, three at the outside, and your fridge is the correct temperature, I'm certain they'll be fine to eat. I wouldn't even hesitate.

Still in sell by date. Got them on Sunday to be used by 28th. They weren't defrost before cooking, so had to be prised apart as the pastry had stuck them together.

Thanks, will tuck in
