Ok so I love Xmas and it's great and sparkly and I love my family, etc.
At the same time, there is already SO MUCH MESS that we can't move, and it's work work work.
Aaaaargh.
Anyone else?
Figure I can be angry and bitter here so I can be nice in real life.

House pretty organised at the moment, but older kids coming soon to stay and I know its going to be a crazy night and I have to be up at 6am to prep dinner while everyone is asleep.
But to be fair..having my 6 kids and their partners wanting to be here for Xmas dinner..makes me feel good

Thanks!
How to remain chilled and Xmas spirited while three young kids want need make need?
Need a virtual reality mess eradicator so I can just let the place pile up, everyone else in my family seems to have one, where did they get it, can I have one for Xmas? Will alcohol work?

I think the only way to survive is to relax about the mess . I agree it's a lot of work Christmas. I start thinking about it in January I put £5 a week away so that I can buy loads of treats without noticing the cost . Then it's the present shopping , wrapping etc etc so by Christmas I'm so tired . In work today very busy I work in the alcohol industry so one of the busiest times , more stuff to do when I got home and what for 1 day . I do enjoy Christmas but less and less every year .

Countdown It is a bit bonkers how much we do for one day isn't it. Do you get treats from others too?
Modest it does get bonkers doesn't it, we have limited space and are overflowing already, it's good to give stuff away, we're so lucky to have so much stuff.
Glass of Prosecco done and feeling a bit warmer and fuzzier. Might do Lego in a bit.

Christmas day will be relaxed. We we go to church for a short service at 10:30 then come home and cook far too much food for our vegan Christmas dinner. We have a magnum of prosecco so that is the drinks sorted.
The manic part will be after Christmas clearing up the whole house as three of my children, their partners and two grandchildren are coming on Sunday (my second marriage and hey will spend Christmas Day with their mum).
A bit hectic but great fun.
