WIBU to spend this week in an hotel?

No family, would probably watch tv all day anyway, but at least being away would force me to get up and dressed in the morning.
Downside no delicious coffee, not bothered about food. Could swim, gym and go for a walk every day. Cannot decide.

Do you mean now ? For Christmas ,yes do it in a flash if it's affordable for you

QueenOfTheFae · 22/12/2019 15:25

if I could, I would really love to be away for Christmas, somewhere hot and sunny!!

PurpleDaisies · 22/12/2019 15:27

Can I come?

Petrichor11 · 22/12/2019 15:27

It’s always something that’s appealed to me. I spend Christmas alone (combination on circumstances and choice), and have always quite liked the idea of going to an anonymous hotel for a few days over the festive period.

If you can afford it and it would make you happier than staying at home then go for it

FesteredFairy · 22/12/2019 15:30

It is affordable for me, but quite expensive.
I have done Christmas hot and cold, this would just be where I live but not at home.

Purple, you would be welcome, if you can travel abroad.
I do feel guilty at not wanting to be at home sorting everything out.
Maybe I will compromise, although I know now I won't do much sorting & constraints on outdoor activities mean gardening is out.

I'd be amazed if there were hotel rooms still available for this week. But definitely do it if you can - it sounds great!

EustaciaPieface · 22/12/2019 15:58

It sounds amazing - do it and have a wonderful time xx

peoplepleaser1 · 22/12/2019 20:45

If it would make you happy and you can afford it then yes yes yes.

Deianira · 22/12/2019 20:51

It sounds like a lovely idea - a way to make it a bit special and, yes, not have to organise food etc! I don't see the disadvantage. The walking/gym/pool and being in a different environment all sounds nice too. Go for it!

Ack! Wrong post!

I haven't seen 'an hotel' for ages (OT)

I guess for me it'd hinge on whether you'd regret the money in a few weeks/months. If not, then hell yes!
